About Me

I build the platforms that build places I want to be in.

Different worlds, different challenges, but the same underlying craft: bringing people, ideas, and capabilities together to make ambitious things possible, and building our collective ability to keep doing greater things. For the shared benefit of each individual, and the shared collective as one.

I love people, adventure, exploring, and creating things together. I’m drawn to curious, capable, passionate people with different strengths and personalities, united by shared values and a genuine sense of belonging.

I grew up above our family bakery in Germany, where the people who worked with us were practically family. Work, life, craft, and community were all connected.

I’m still a small-town person with a big-city appetite for adventure, diversity, and possibility.

What I do

I’m an engineer by trade. My craft is connecting people, ideas, and capabilities, solving the problems that stand in the way, and building systems that enable us to accomplish increasingly ambitious things together.

That takes me across technology, products, infrastructure, operations, organizations, and culture.

I love building alongside people with complementary strengths, where everyone can contribute what they do best, lead where they’re most capable, and learn from one another.

Through shared experiences, real-world feedback, and continuous improvement, both individuals and the systems we build become more capable. Our collective effectiveness compounds, expanding everyone’s freedom, agency, and opportunities while advancing our shared mission.

Where it takes me

I’ve worked on autonomous systems at Apple and Cruise, co-founded Flux, built engineering teams and platforms at Forward Health, and explored how people and AI can collaborate more effectively.

I also help build Titanic’s End, a Burning Man community where art, engineering, infrastructure, culture, and adventure come together.

The life I want to live

I value freedom, trust, closeness, and mutual contribution.

I love being part of places where everyone brings their own passions, gifts, resources, and opportunities. Where we share what we have, contribute what we love doing, and create possibilities and experiences together.

An extraordinary life, to me, is one shared with people who are passionate about their own worlds and genuinely care about each other. People who create, explore, celebrate, love, grow, and stand by one another through everything life brings.

I want to help build and sustain those places, and experience life fully as one of the people in them.
